A: Yes, you can still apply for the program if you fit the program criteria. We encourage you to indicate the projects that you are already working on with Visa, and Visa points of contact, when submitting your application.

A: We encourage startups with operations in Asia Pacific to apply for the program. However, startups based overseas, that can demonstrate a commitment to long-term growth in the region may also apply for the program.

A: Startups undergo a preliminary screening based on their company profile, solution traction, and proposed areas of collaboration with Visa. Shortlisted startups will be invited to participate in a series of virtual interviews, and finalists will be notified in March for a program kickoff in April.

A: Startups who are selected for the Asia Pacific Accelerator program will also be considered for the global Visa Everywhere Initiative (VEI), provided they meet the VEI eligibility criteria. You can find more details on VEI here.

A: Yes, this program will be run primarily in English; however, we can explore providing language support that your startup may need with the help of our in-market country teams, based on the scope of your proposed POC and target client base. Please note the interview process will be conducted entirely in English.

A: The Proof of Concept (POC) serves to demonstrate the feasibility of a solution / business plan. Its exact scope varies from startup to startup, but typically involves defined technical and commercial outcomes that can be delivered within the program timeline. Each startup will collaborate with Visa to outline the success metrics for the POC.

A: The program is designed to allow for hybrid modes of collaboration, both virtually and in-person. You will be able to identify, with your program manager, the most effective model for your startup during the program.
